Suranjit asks Khaleda Zia to abandon Jamaat

DHAKA, Dec 22, 2014 (BSS) -Awami League Advisory Council Member Suranjit Sengupta today urged the BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to abandon Jamaat-e-Islami.

"I told you (Khaleda Zia) to abandon Jamaat-e-Islami and war criminals and support the ongoing trial of war criminals," he said while speaking as the chief guest at a memorial discussion at Diploma Engineers auditorium.

Nouka (Boat) Supporters Group organized the memorial discussion on Abdur Razzak, former minister and senior Awami League leader with its advisor Haji Mohammad Selim in the chair.
The discussion was also addressed, among others, by Awami League Presidium Member Satish Chandra Roy and Sammobadi Dal leader Harun Chowdhury.

Referring Khaleda Zia's threat of demonstration, the former minister said, "You are living in a fool's paradise as you are thinking to create anarchy and vandalism in the country in the name of demonstration".
Mentioning Khaleda's mistake for not joining the elections, the senior Awami League leader said, "You can join the next general elections, or not, it depends on your desire."

Describing Abdur Razzak's political career, he said Razzak was a worker-friendly politician and a bright star of progressive politics.
