A mild heat wave is blowing over several districts of the country, including the capital Dhaka. This is the first heat wave of the season. Temperatures are also rising in other parts of the country. The maximum temperature in the capital has increased by more than one degree Celsius in a single day.
Meteorologists say they believe that such a heat wave is somewhat unusual in mid-March. The heat wave has increased this time due to the decrease in wind flow and the lengthening of sunlight. Again, the amount of water vapor in the air is much higher. Therefore, despite the mild heat wave, the feeling of heat is becoming a little more. This heat wave trend may continue for the next two or three days.
Meteorologist Kazi Jebunnesa of the Meteorological Department told Samakal that a mild heat wave is blowing over several districts. However, it may not be very widespread. The temperature may decrease slightly from tomorrow, Tuesday. After that, there may be isolated light rainfall. However, where there is rainfall, there is also a possibility of thunderstorms along with Kalbaisakhi.

If the maximum temperature in an area is 36 to 37.9 degrees Celsius, then a mild heat wave is considered to be blowing there. If the temperature is 38 to 39.9, it is a moderate heat wave. A severe heat wave is considered when the temperature is 40 to 41.9 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is more than 42, it is considered a very severe heat wave.
