Fakhrul’s fake FB account opened with evil motive: BNP
BNP on Thursday alleged that a vested quarter has opened a fake Facebook account against the name of its acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir with an ‘ill motive’.

BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the allegation while speaking at a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan central office. He also warned that legal action will be taken if the fake account is not removed immediately, UNB reports.

“A Facebook account has been operated against BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s name. He has no involvement in it,” Rizvi said.

“Some unscrupulous people are operating the Facebook account with an evil motive,” he observed.

Earlier on January 23, BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy also alleged that a vested group was trying to extort money from some Bangladeshi expatriates opening a fake Facebook account against his name.

“An organised group of frauds is creating confusion by demanding money from Bangladeshi expatriates opening a fake Facebook account against my name and using my national ID card,” he told the press briefing.
