"I urged the government to arrest Khaleda Zia to stop unleashing violence, killing people and torching vehicles in the name of movement. It is also the demand of public, to arrest her and brought her to book" he said.
Maya, also a central executive committee member of Awami League said this at a rally in front of AL central office on Bangabandhu Avenue organised by Awami Samarthak Jote.
Food Minister Advocate Qamrul Islam, Acting president of Dhaka City AL MA Aziz, senior vice president Faiz Uddin Mia, organising secretary Shahe Alam Murad and Joint General Secretary Awlad Hossain were also present with the chairman of the organization Abdul Huq Sabuj in the chair.
"To get rid of the corruption cases against her, she is playing with the fate of the country," he said adding, "according to instruction of Khaleda Zia, her activists are making bombs and throwing those on innocent people."
