Youth hacked to death in Tikatuli

Local miscreants hacked a young man to death in the capital’s Tikatuli today afternoon.
The victim was identified as: Nepal Das, 25, son of Gopal Das, who used to work as a refrigerator mechanic in the area.
The criminals hacked Nepal indiscriminately with sharp weapons around 4:30pm, Tapan Chandra Saha, officer-in-charge of Wari Police Station told The Daily Star.
He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared Nepal dead, the police official added.
Police suspected that Nepal was killed as he had protested eve-teasing on his niece by local raffs.
Unidentified callers also threatened to kill him over phone, the OC said.
Police did not disclose any names yet as they were investigating the murder.
