Bollywood is smitten with the biopic rage lately. Glamorous actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who made a comeback with 'Jazbaa' after a long hiatus, is now gearing up for 'Sarbjit'.
The movie also stars Randeep Hooda along with Aishwarya and is highly anticipated. The 'Sarbjit' team has been permitted to shoot near the international border with Pakistan near Attari and Aishwarya has already requested government officials for the permission. Aishwarya, who began filming for the Amritsar schedule of this film earlier this month, had also taken part in the seva at the Harmandir Sahib, Golden Temple, as part of the shoot. The actress joined devotees in washing dishes, sweeping the floor and cooking.
Helmed by Omung Kumar, 'Sarbjit' is a biopic on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan and was sentenced to death. The film is slated to hit the screens on May 19.
