Bangladesh’s young pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman has
been sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 1.40 crore in the IPL 2016
being held in Bengaluru on February 6.
The 20-year-old pacer, mostly known all around the world for his deadly cutters, was bracketed in the base price price of INR 50 lakh under the fast bowler category. It was Sunrisers Hyderabad who first showed their interest on the cutter master.
Immediately after the team mentored by VVS Laxman called for the Bangladeshi superstar, Daniel Vettori’s Royal Challengers Bangalore too came forward to get hands on Mustafizur. Thereafter, an exciting round of bidding followed.
After a total of 19 bids, Sunrisers Hyderabad emerged winners in the race of getting Mustafizur in their ranks. On their way to recruiting Mustafizur, Hyderabad will have to pay INR 1.40 crore, which stands for 1.62 crore in Bangladeshi standard currency.
