Rapid Action Battalion detained three people for their alleged
involvement in killing Japanese national Hoshi Kunio from
Chapainawabganj sadar early today.
Rab-5 members picked up Rajib Hossain alias Meril Sumon, 25, from
Sathnail area around 1:20am while he was passing through a road there,
our Chapainawabganj correspondent reports quoting Mahabub Alam,
commanding officer of the Rab team.
Based on information given by Rajib, the Rab team conducted a drive
at Bidirpur of sadar upazila and detained Noushad Hossain alias Rubel
alias Kala Rubel, 27, and Kajol Chandra Barman alias Bharasa Kajol, 25,
around 3:00am, the Rab official said.
A foreign made pistol, a revolver, two rounds of bullets and some
sharp weapons were recovered from their possessions, Mahabub Alam
informed.
Mahabub also claimed that the trio, hailing from Rangpur, went into hiding after killing Hoshi Kunio on October 3.
