Moazzem Hossain from Patgram of Lalmunirhat
A total of 63 from 17 families out of 197 former enclave people who chose to become Indian nationals have gone to India leaving Bangladesh today.

They started their journey to India through Patgram- Burimari Border of Lalmunirhat. Total 67 people were supposed to go but 4 could not leave as they didn’t complete formalities.

They accorded a warm farewell while they were leaving Bangladesh. Then, they became emotional and started crying as they were leaving after 68 years keeping near and dear ones here.

The rest 130 would leave on November 23, reports our correspondent quoting the sources at Lalmonirhat deputy commissioner's office.

Sources in the district administration said a total of 197 people of 40 families at five former enclaves in Hatibandha and Patgram had opted to become Indian nationals and travel passes were given to them by the Indian authorities.

Lalmonirhat Deputy Commissioner (DC) M Habibur Rahman said  that transport facilities and special security are being provided to the travel pass holders as they started for India.
