Three Malaysian citizens were held with gold bars weighing 45
kilogrammes at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka today.
The arrestees are Hee Wooi Khong, 28, Johari Bin Harun, 41, and Mohd
Azwan Bin Salihin 21, passengers of a Malaysian Airlines flight that
landed at the airport around 11:40am.
The Preventive team of Dhaka custom house found the gold searching
their bodies, according to a text message floated by Md Shahiduzzaman
Sarkar, assistant commissioner of customs.
“The trio claimed that they were only the carriers,” he added.
