Local
fashion giant Dressy Dale will commemorate the beginning of winter with
a Tussar Festival. Starting on 25 November, the Tussar festival will be
observed in all outlets of Dressy Dale. That includes the 3 outlets in
Dhaka (Gulshan, Banani and Dhanmondi) and 1 outlet in Chittagong.
Tussar
Silk is a relatively heavier blend of silk that, although popular all
year round, is quite a hit during the winter months, especially when you
want to wear something that's elegant but not flashy. With the weddings
and other festivities that take place in winter, and the accompanying
bling and embellishments you might have to wear on a nightly basis, a
tussar outfit is a refreshing change. It is the perfect fabric to sport
during the daytime winter occasions such as picnics, tea parties, pitha
parties or luncheons. In fact, the simplistic beauty of a tussar sari
cannot be underestimated -- you can even wear it to your night-time
events to really stand out from the crowd.
Dressy Dale is stocking up on different products made with tussar from 25 November onwards. Saris, shalwar kameez sets, tunics, shawls, panjabis, ponchos, coatees, bags, cushion covers and bedcovers will all be paying homage to tussar.

Saris
will feature new designs, and focus on different dyes, prints and hand
embroidery. Tunics feature asymmetric cuts and designs; as customers
have a huge difference of opinion over whether they want to wear
churidaar, shalwar or palazzo pants, one-piece tunics reign supreme so
that customers can wear bottoms according to their own preferences. Men
can find a one-of-a-kind tussar Panjabi collection at the outlets.
Dressy
Dale also has a coatee collection, which has become quite popular as of
last year, for both men and women this season. They feature lots of
prints, shapes, sizes and patterns, so that the coatee is the star of
the show. Men can wear their coatee with their favourite plain coloured
Panjabi for a star-studded look. Women can pair their coatees with saris
or kameezes or even with jeans and a simple top: the possibilities are
endless!
In addition, Dressy Dale's exclusive bag collection will
have unique bags made with a combination of tussar and leather. The
bags are of larger sizes to contain all the essentials of the modern
woman.
The colour palette features deeper colours, as that's
what customers prefer for this season. The matte finish of tussar fabric
adds a unique canvas that can be modernised with prints or kept
traditional by using a plethora of colours and blocks. Embellishments
speak out in the form of intricate needlework rather than overused
sequins.
