কত টাকা বেতন কোচ গম্ভীরের?

গৌতম গম্ভীরকে প্রধান কোচের দায়িত্ব দেয় ভারতীয় ক্রিকেট বোর্ড (বিসিসিআই) গত বছরের ৯ জুলাই। চুক্তি ২০২৭ সালের ডিসেম্বর পর্যন্ত বোর্ডের সঙ্গে তাঁর থাকতে হবে। রোহিত–কোহলিদের কোচ হিসেবে গম্ভীরের অর্জনের খাতায় যেমন সাফল্য আছে, আছে ব্যর্থতাও।

তবে সদ্য সমাপ্ত চ্যাম্পিয়নস ট্রফিতে ভারতের শিরোপা জয় গম্ভীরের ব্যর্থতাকে প্রায় আড়াল করে দিয়েছে। দায়িত্ব নেওয়ার মাত্র আট মাসের মধ্যে দেশকে বৈশ্বিক শিরোপা এনে দেওয়া তো আর চাট্টিখানি কথা নয়!৪৩ বছর বয়সী গম্ভীর ভারতের খেলোয়াড় হিসেবে জিতেছেন ২০০৭ টি–টোয়েন্টি ও ২০১১ ওয়ানডে বিশ্বকাপ। এবার কোচ হিসেবে জিতলেন চ্যাম্পিয়নস ট্রফি। খেলোয়াড়–কোচ উভয় ভূমিকায় বৈশ্বিক ট্রফি জেতার কীর্তি খুব কম মানুষেরই আছে। ভারতকে নতুন সাফল্য এনে দেওয়ার পর ক্রিকেট মহলে আবারও আলোচনায় গৌতম গম্ভীর, বিশেষ করে তাঁর বেতন এবং বিসিসিআইয়ের পক্ষ থেকে পাওয়া অন্যান্য সুযোগ-সুবিধা সম্পর্কে জানতে ক্রিকেটপ্রেমীদের আগ্রহ তৈরি হয়েছে।

ক্রিকেটপ্রেমীদের আগ্রহ মেটানোর চেষ্টা করেছে ভারতের বাণিজ্যবিষয়ক ওয়েবসাইট অ্যাসেনড্যান্টস। তাদের প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে, গম্ভীরের আনুমানিক বার্ষিক বেতন ১৪ কোটি রুপির বেশি, যা তাঁকে বিশ্বের সর্বোচ্চ পারিশ্রমিক পাওয়া কোচদের একজন করে তুলেছে। গম্ভীরের আগে ভারতের প্রধান কোচ ছিলেন রাহুল দ্রাবিড়। দ্রাবিড় বছরে পেতেন ১২ কোটি রুপি।মোটা অঙ্কের বেতনের পাশাপাশি বিদেশ সফরে দৈনিক ২১ হাজার রুপি ভাতা হিসেবে পাচ্ছেন গম্ভীর। উড়োজাহাজে বিজনেস ক্লাসের টিকিট, বিলাসবহুল হোটেলে রাখার ব্যবস্থা, লন্ড্রি ব্যয়ও বহন করে বিসিসিআই। অন্যান্য লজিস্টিক সুবিধা তো আছেই।

এই সুযোগ-সুবিধাগুলো বিসিসিআইয়ের কৌশলের অংশ। এর মাধ্যমে তারা উঁচু মাপের কোচিং প্রতিভাদের আকৃষ্ট করে এবং ধরে রাখে। তা ছাড়া বোর্ড মনে করে, গম্ভীর ও তাঁর সহকারীদের এ ধরনের সুযোগ-সুবিধা দিলে তাঁরা শুধু দলের পারফরম্যান্সের ওপরই মনোনিবেশ করবেন।একাধিক সূত্র অ্যাসেনড্যান্টসকে জানিয়েছে, গৌতম গম্ভীরের সঙ্গে বিসিসিআইয়ের চুক্তিপত্রে পারফরম্যান্সভিত্তিক বোনাসের বিষয়ও উল্লেখ আছে। বোনাসগুলো ২০২৫ চ্যাম্পিয়নস ট্রফি, ২০২৬ টি–টোয়েন্টি বিশ্বকাপ এবং ২০২৭ ওয়ানডে বিশ্বকাপের মতো বড় টুর্নামেন্টে দলের সাফল্যের সঙ্গে সম্পর্কযুক্ত।

Google Maps users in trouble

But recently, the personal travel history of many users on Google Maps has suddenly been deleted. As a result, they have faced a lot of problems.

On the popular social media 'Reddit', a user complained, 'Every day's record for the last three years has suddenly disappeared.' Another wrote, 'I'm scared. The same thing happened to me.' Many users are disappointed after losing their saved travel information for more than 10 years.

The Google Maps timeline feature was previously known as Location History. The feature regularly saves users' daily travel, destination directions, and location information. However, recently, many users are seeing their timeline calendar empty. Different days of travel are shown as 'crossed out' and when tapped on a specific day, a 'no visit' message is displayed.

Recently, Google has announced that it is deleting old information on Google Maps, and that it is implementing a plan to delete information older than 90 days from users' timelines.

Incidentally, by the end of last year, Google had announced that Google Maps' timeline information would not be stored online from June 9, 2025. The information will be stored on users' devices. That is, all information older than 90 days from users will be deleted online. However, Google did not display any warning before deleting old information on Google Maps recently. The company is even deleting information before the scheduled time.

Rape victim Asia dies in Bangladesh

 The child from Magura was declared dead at 1 pm today, Thursday. Colonel Nazmul Hamid, a professor at the Pediatric Neurology Department of Dhaka's Combined Military Hospital (CMH), confirmed this information to Prothom Alo.

Colonel Nazmul Hamid said that the child had suffered 'cardiac arrest' (sudden cessation of heartbeat) twice this morning. After CPR was administered, his heartbeat returned. But at 12 noon, he had cardiac arrest again. Even after CPR was administered this time, his heartbeat did not return. He was declared dead at 1 pm. A press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said, "It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that the child who was tortured in Magura breathed his last at Dhaka's Combined Military Hospital at 1 pm today. Despite the application of the latest medical systems at CMH and the utmost efforts of expert doctors, it was not possible to save him." The child had three cardiac arrests this morning. Although he was stabilized twice, his heartbeat did not return the third time.

The ISPR press release further said that the child was admitted to the CMH in Dhaka in critical condition on March 8. The Bangladesh Army is praying for the forgiveness of the departed soul of the child. The Bangladesh Army expresses its deep condolences to the bereaved family of the child. The Bangladesh Army pledges to stand by them in any need. The mother of the eight-year-old child, who was visiting her sister's house, filed a case alleging rape. The child's brother-in-law, sister's father-in-law, mother-in-law and brother-in-law have been arrested and remanded in this case.

Last Thursday, at around 11:30 am, the child was taken to the 250-bed hospital in Magura in an unconscious state by his sister-in-law. Later, the child's mother went to the hospital. That afternoon, the child was sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. From there, he was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Thursday night. Then, on Friday night, he was put on life support. The child was transferred to CMH from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition on Saturday evening. He was kept on life support in the PICU of CMH in Dhaka.

A medical board consisting of eight specialist doctors, headed by the chief surgeon of CMH, was formed to treat the child.

The Magura incident is being condemned and criticized across the country. Protests are being held against rape and oppression.
