A Bollywoodlife.com report states that now the actress has asked for a ban on the classroom dissection of animals for university life sciences and zoology students. She is taking the fight straight to the Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, teaming up with PETA to urge him to retain the long-standing ban. In the letter to Minister, Javadekar, the actress writes, “Returning to the archaic system of animal dissection would prevent students from learning in contemporary ways. WATCH: Sonam Kapoor's break-up advice
Sonam Kapoor seems to be going the Alia Bhatt way when it comes to handling criticism. After Alia Bhatt made a spoof video that shows her working really hard to transform herself into an intellectual from a dumb-head, Sonam Kapoor shared a video talking about breakups. The Raanjhanaa actress is hailed as a full-time fashionista and part-time actor in the video. It also features her much-criticised fur gown at Cannes 2015. Talking about breakups, Sonam says, "For all you ladies who are scared to breakup, just go ahead and do it. I did it and I'm super glad." She can also be seen talking about her breakups and how it feels but goes on to advice that if you are in a very messy relationship, break the f*** up.
And this is not it, she recently claimed to be friends with all her exes. Know more…
'I am friends with all my exes'
Sonam Kapoor has said that she never judges a guy on his financial grounds. When asked about her real-life expectations, Sonam said, "I like potential in people. If I find someone, who has lot of potential and can do something with life then I don't see bank balance, which family he comes from or his religion. I am extremely idealistic and extremely impractical in life which is not the best thing on this planet but it has held me in good position till now. I have no baggage with my relationships and everything I have done is with all heart. Even if something doesn't work out, I am friends with all of them. There is nothing dirty about the break-up. Also, if it doesn't end on a negative it's easy to be friends with your exes. It's not tough but the closure is important."

'Every time I fall in love it’s like first time'
Sonam Kapoor, who has been a part of many romantic films, claims to believe in love and is hopeful about meeting the man of her life. On being asked about her real life love, Sonam said, "Every time I fall in love it's like first time. However, till now there has been no success story, but I am still hopeful that next time I will fall in love and it will be like the first time and it will succeed." 'I am a very simple girl in real life'

Sonam Kapoor, who is a style icon for the youth, has mostly played girl-next-door roles in all her Bollywood films. The actress claims that she loves dressing up and that it's not a responsibility to be a fashion diva. When asked about being fashionista, Sonam claimed, "It's not a responsibility to be a fashion diva. I enjoy it and also enjoy getting up in morning and putting on make-up, getting ready. I don't think there is any girl who doesn't like to not look good and wear good clothes. I am a very simple girl in real life and I say what I want.”
'I am not scared of men'

Sonam Kapoor wore a bikini for the first time on-screen in the YRF film, Bewakoofiyaan. The actress worked on her body and ensured that she took everyone by surprise with her toned frame. She was at her glamorous best in the pink two-piece. In an interview, Sonam had said, "I am trying to be a girl who is real and has an opinion. 'Many heroines don't want to give opinions'
Sonam Kapoor is intelligent and also well read. She is known to speak her heart out about issues, and criticises Bollywood actresses who try to be diplomatic. She claims that it is not the right way to inspire the youth. On being asked about the changing situation of women in the industry, Sonam said, "I hope the condition of women changes in India. Bollywood is different. For me, films are the reflection of what society is. The society needs to change and then films will change. Films and art don't dictate society, they reflect society. I am trying very hard in terms of small things, the way I conduct myself and talk to people. There are lot of heroines, who are prim and proper and are diplomatic. They don't want to give opinions and don't want to speak about anyone. In many ways, we are setting a wrong example for the girls and that's not a cool thing to do. The society should change," added Sonam.
'We can't run around in a burqa'
Sonam Kapoor, who is known for her honest opinions, claimed that men need to change their outlook towards women. She announced that banning item numbers was stupid. Sonam said, "I think it's so stupid to think about banning songs. So what if we wear certain type of clothes or do certain things? We are not doing anything wrong. Men have to look at us differently. If you see our Ajanta Ellora Caves, you will understand that we are the land of Kamasutra. We can't cover ourselves from head-to-toe. We can't run around in burqa; that's not our culture. It's unfortunate when people say you can't wear skirts or do item numbers or a girl can't dress in a certain way. Are we going back to dark ages?"

TIB asked to apologise

MPs slam watchdog for study on JS, demand grilling by committee
Staff Correspondent
Several lawmakers of the treasury and opposition bench yesterday demanded that the Speaker summon TIB officials immediately to the House to question them for the organisation's “derogatory remarks” on parliament.
Speaking on a point of order in the House, senior Awami League Lawmaker Suranjit Sengupta insisted that the Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) apologise to the nation within three days.
“Otherwise, parliament will suspend TIB's name from the list of non-governmental organisations during the passage of the Foreign Donations Act. In that case, even the prime minister will not be able to do anything,” he said in the presence of PM Sheikh Hasina.
“You [the TIB] will have to pledge that you will never make comments on parliament and the country's constitution.”
Suranjit said sedition charges should be brought against the TIB for its “derogatory statement” on the sovereign parliament.
Some of the lawmakers said the TIB's main objective was to undermine Bangladesh, tarnish its image and impede the country's progress.
On October 25, the TIB in a study said lawmakers' participation in question-answer sessions and discussions on important notices was less in the current parliament.
And only six percent of 388 working hours had been spent on formulation and passage of 30 laws in 14 months, said the study based on the current parliament's second to sixth session from June 2014 to July this year.
It also said the main opposition, the Jatiya Party, failed to play its due role in the present parliament.
Terming the JP a so-called opposition, the TIB said the party was working as “B-team of the government”.
Talking to reporters on the same day, TIB Executive Director Iftekharuzzaman termed the present parliament “a puppet theatre”.
Speaking on a point of order yesterday, Opposition Leader Raushan Ershad raised the TIB issue.
Lambasting the TIB, she questioned whether it had any jurisdiction to make such “derogatory remarks” on the opposition and the House.
“The TIB has undermined the country, its people, the constitution and the House by making the comment that the present parliament has become a stage of puppet show.”
She urged the TIB to analyse the activities of opposition MPs in parliament since the restoration of democracy in the country in 1991, and then make comments on the main opposition of the present parliament.
Taking part in the discussion, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said the TIB had no jurisdiction to make such remarks.
The TIB launched the study report right after two foreigners were killed and some foreign missions overreacted to the murders, he said.
“TIB's only aim was to create obstacles to the country's advancement.
“I urge the Speaker to summon immediately TIB officials to the Privilege Committee of the House so that we can question them on the source of the organisation's income and expenditure,” he said.
The main objective of organisations like the TIB is to humiliate Bangladesh internationally, added the senior AL lawmaker.
Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, AL MP Abul Kamal Azad, Jatiya Party MP Kazi Feroz Rashid, JSD MP Mayeen Uddin Khan Badal and independent MP Rustam Ali Farazi also blasted the TIB.
